Arbitration & periarbitral procedures
Aditi Durand acts as counsel or co-counsel in both institutional and ad hoc arbitration proceedings. She also represents clients in court proceedings in support of arbitration before the French courts (including enforcement (exequatur) of international awards, annulment proceedings, and applications before the supporting judge). Aditi also accepts appointments to act as an arbitrator.

LCIA proceedings
- Co-counsel in a LCIA arbitration, seated in the LCIA-DIFC, representing a major actor in the Saudi non-destructive corrosion testing market in a dispute against minority shareholders of one of their main subsidiaries. The amount in dispute was OMR 4.3 million. English law applied and the proceedings were conducted in English.
- Counsel in two LCIA arbitrations, seated in the LCIA-DIFC, representing a Saudi company against an English company in a dispute related to the payment of a debt arising from a share purchase. The amount in dispute was SAR 9 million. English law applied and the proceedings were conducted in English.
Some significant experiences
ICC
- Co-counsel representing a West African in an oil group against a trader in an ICC arbitration seated in Paris related to the supply of heavy fuel oil. The amount in dispute was USD 2.7 million and the proceedings were conducted in French.
- Co-counsel representing a German company in an ICC arbitration seated in Paris, against companies and individuals in the context of an investment contract and misrepresentation of accounting records. The amount in dispute was EUR 7 million. French law applied and the proceedings were conducted in English.
- Counsel representing an Australian commercial agent in an ICC arbitration seated in Paris against his principal in a dispute relating to a commercial agency contract. The amount in dispute was USD 900,000. French law applied and the proceedings were conducted in English.
Some significant experiences
Under the aegis of other institutions or before French courts
- Counsel in first-tier and appeal GAFTA (Grain and Feed Trade Association) arbitration proceedings epresenting a company in a dispute related to the sale of rice in Senegal. The amount in dispute was USD 2 milion. English law applied and the proceedings were conducted in English.
- Counsel in several ad hoc arbitrations, representing companies in the retail sector in the context of franchise agreements. The amount in dispute for each of the cases varied between EUR 500,000 and EUR 4 million. Equity and French law applied and the proceedings were conducted in French.
- Co-counsel in proceedings before the Paris Court of Appeal in an annulment procedure against an international arbitration award. The proceedings related to the arbitrator's disclosure obligations and failure to disclose material facts.
